Adam Driver Talks Kylo Ren’s “Terrible” Mask on Conan

There’s already been a few jokes about Kylo Ren’s helmet, like this reimagining of the mask as an espresso machine. Costume designer Michael Kaplan previously said he wanted it to be “something that a child would remember,” but is this a case of fashion over function?

“It looks like Kylo has no peripheral vision,” observes Conan. “It’s terrible, yeah,” Driver jokes, “I still don’t know who’s in the movie because I haven’t seen anybody.” You think they’d fix some of these designs with all the Stormtroopers bumping around with poor vision. Yes, you look super cool but at what cost?
