After a special screening of Captain America: The First Avenger for men and women serving in our military this weekend, it’s been confirmed that a trailer for next year’s big Marvel release The Avengers will roll following the former movie’s credits. There is a chance you might have read about it on Twitter after servicemembers started spreading the news, however no “shaky-phone-cam” versions of the trailer have been reported yet. So, if you don’t know one of the servicemembers who attended the screening and want to know what’s in the trailer for The Avengers, click through for the spoilery details!
Nerdbastards has the synopsis of the trailer, which — one more time — contains spoilers. It begins — sort of like Thor‘s post-credits tease — with the character you just finished watching, Captain America, being confronted by Nick Fury. And then, it turns into a trailer for a whole new movie:
As the music kicked in, scenes of SHEILD, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), & Loki were shown!! It showed a hell of a lot of action! Thor had a brief costume change, just no chainmail under armor and his hair was a bit longer. Iron Man was shown in what looked like the Mark VI or maybe a new Mark VII armor!! I don’t recall who was fighting who or what, but it was a lot of kick-assery!! And at the end of it all, Thor threw Minjor and then it flashed … The Avengers!
Shots of some action-packed scenes followed then ended with “The Avengers — Coming May 2012.”
So, there’s another groovy trailer to look forward to. In the meantime, we’re still waiting for The Dark Knight Rises … come on WB guys, seriously …
