Stephen Byrne, the talented fellow who created that wonderful Doctor Who animated intro, is back to tease us with another beloved series we’ll probably never see animated: Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Way back in 2008, we were happily surprised to learn of a Buffy animated series which was being put together by Joss Whedon and Jeph Loeb. It never surfaced as a project, of course, but you know, there was also supposed to be a Firefly animated series in the works at one point too. Anyway, enjoy Byrne’s awesome work above and here’s that old Buffy animation to cling on to.

Speaking of Buffy and Firefly, Byrne also put together some cute art of both previously, as well.
