Ever since we discovered that American wizards call those without magical abilities “No-Maj” instead of muggle, there’s been a huge wave of Harry Potter fans being like “J.K., what’s up? What did we do to you to deserve this?” Mashable decided to ask the Boy Who Lived to weigh in on what he thought about the term. Radcliffe replied that he saw nothing wrong with it:
I have no strong opinions about this. We have different words in England, so it makes perfect sense that there should be a different word for it in America.
Radcliffe was with James McAvoy to promote their new film, Victor Frankenstein. McAvoy responded:
You have no strong feelings about this? It doesn’t keep you up at night? I’m outraged! I’d be more excited to see what wizards from America and wizards from the U.K. [fight about], like coriander versus cilantro.
Coriander! Fight me.
