Home Sweet Hell doesn’t look like it’ll be winning any awards for subverting dominant cliches about women or mental illness (though trailers can be deceiving), but dang if Katherine Heigl isn’t compelling as a woman who takes all the self control of her Stepford Wife Life and turns it to murder most foul after being the butt of a major betrayal of that Stepford illusion.
And the combination of dishwashing gloves and a katana sure doesn’t hurt.
