The Logan trailer promised an emotional and dramatic send-off to Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, and the official synopsis does the same with a black and white look at Jackman in the distance looking like something out of an Andrew Wyeth painting. It reads:
In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.
There’s not too much new information in the synopsis. We’ve heard that Logan would explore the relationship between Logan and Professor X, with Jackman saying early on, before the script was completed, that he wanted to “see signs of that quasi-father/son sort of relationship that has not been seen before.” The young mutant has already been confirmed to be Laura Kinney, or X-23. We also know that Deadpool will not be making an appearance.

There’s been a lot of hype around the R-rated film, but we’ll have to wait until March 3 to see if it lives up to those expectations. Are you excited for Logan?
