Orlando Jones is leaving Fox’s Sleepy Hollow in advance of its third season, Variety is reporting. Though there’s no official world from Fox, Jones will be joining showrunner Mark Goffman in his post-season two exit as well.

Though Sleepy Hollow has been renewed, its second season was plagued by problems and fan complaints, including the fact that it reduced the screentime of all of its characters of color in favor of new(ish) white faces like Crane’s wife and son. One of my favorite things about Sleepy Hollow’s inaugural season was that only one of four leads was a white dude, with three POC rounding out the cast. Changing that dynamic in the second season (as well as some messy storylines) really hurt the overall feel of the show. Now, with Jones leaving, I’m not excited about the prospect of season three.

What do you think about this development, Sleepyheads?
