We’ve seen some snippets of the soon-to-be-released new Sailor Moon dub, but come this weekend we’ll get to watch the first four episodes in their entirety. To celebrate the transition from Serena to English-speaking Usagi, Viz Media is streaming the episodes back-to-back this Friday night in what they’re calling a “Moonlight Slumber Party.” Heck yeah!

The episodes will air on Viz Media’s Youtube channel, as well as on Hulu and Neon Alley, starting at 8pm PDT (that’s 11pm EDT). According to their Facebook event page, they’ll also be doing Q&As with members of the new dub cast and are giving you and your potential Moonlight party guests opportunities to win prizes by submitting pictures and answering trivia questions.

Because the block only consists of the first four episodes, we sadly won’t get to hear all the senshi just yet—but we will get our first good listen of Usagi, Luna, Mamoru, Jadeite, and Queen Beryl, as well as secondary Naru, Shingo, Umino, and Haruna. Plus, the second episode in the block was never aired in America the first time around, so it’ll be especially cool to see what they do with it. And it’ll also be especially interesting to see how they handle the oft-lamented episode 4, in which Usagi tries to lose weight, considering that the original dub actually did a pretty good job of lessening the impact of all the anti-fat parts and making the episode more accepting.

But remember, just because you’re having fun doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to get a good night’s sleep, too! Otherwise you’ll probably look like this in the morning:

What do you think, readers? Want to join us on Friday night to check out the new dub? We promise we won’t throw pillows at you. Probably.
