This was the wakeup call played for the astronauts aboard the International Space Shuttle last week, the very last wakeup call of the Discovery’s tenure. NASA held a contest to decide what would be used as some of the final wakeup music for Discovery’s crew. The theme of original series Star Trek came in second place, William Shatner recorded the dialogue, and obviously somebody decided that it would be the most appropriate thing to use on that last morning.

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
