Disney and Final FantasyThe Muppets and YouTube.  Peanut butter and chocolate.  All pairings of distinct concepts that, when they come together, add up to unexpectedly more than the sum of their parts. It is in this spirit that we present this information: Cartoon Network and Weird Al have signed a production deal.

Virtually nothing is known (or, at least, can be told to the public) about the project yet, except:

  • It will be a live action feature film.
  • Mr. Yankovic will direct and appear in it, but not star.
  • The main character will be a teenager.
  • Sadly, Yankovic says it will not be a sequel to UHF or a documentary about Winston Churchill.

“Weird Al” Yankovic’s secretive, intriguing blog post on the subject can be found here.

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
