Designer Imagines a ’60s Game of Thrones With Saul Bass-Inspired Credit Sequence
Winter is feeling just groovy.
Obviously Game of Thrones would never make it to television back in the ’60s, what with all the sex and blood and married couples sleeping in the same bed together. But you know what it totally would have? A jazzy pop-art title sequence like the one German designer Milan Vukovic envisions here. Awesome job, dude. Now do a medieval-inspired Mad Men next!
That smooth jazz rendition of the theme song, by the way, was released by Scott Bradlee of Saturday Morning Slow Jams fame back in April. Here it is in full:
I expect to hear that cover in every elevator and waiting room at HBO Headquarters as soon as possible.
