8-Bit Cinema Treatment Proves We Need a Retro Stranger Things Game

Recommended Videos

We were gushing over Infamous Quests‘ point-and-click Stranger Things game, but lamented that it was so short. Now that CineFix has given the Netflix series the 8-bit cinema treatment, we’re even more desperate for a Stranger Things RPG game.

Directed by David Dutton, which music by Henry Dutton, the video goes through the entire series in “80’s arcade and NES inspired action.” Hearing the theme song in chiptune feels so right, and although Nerdist points out that the Stranger Things kids probably aren’t playing many video games in 1983, I kind of want it as my ringtone? Naturally, a few scenes get left out but most of my favorite Stranger Things moments are in there. The best part? No Tommy and Carol!

If you’re not familiar with 8 Bit Cinema, their 8-bit Star Wars is another masterpiece worth watching. Would you play a Stranger Things RPG?
