The trailer for this short film, directed by Neon Genesis Evangelion‘s Shinji Higuchi, from Studio Ghibli aired last summer, but now we can actually watch the whole thing. It was announced not only as the company’s first foray into live action, but also as an attempt to capture an old style of Japanese kaiju filmmaking. Including: no CGI. The God Warriors are the ultimate danger in the world of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, and they’re no less ominous for being placed in Tokyo.

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
