It’s been almost 10 years since the last time you had the change to build your own thriving, or perhaps less-than-thriving city in a new verison of the premier city-sim, SimCity. Now, after that cool-off period, the time has come to rediscover the thrill of, uh, taxes! And finance! And, like, zoning laws! You can expect SimCity 5(000?) to look really pretty and have more granularity (and llamas!) than any previous entry in the series, but don’t be fooled, the images in the trailer are not “representative of actual gameplay.” Nonetheless, I’m sure it’ll be great and I’m glad to see some new life injected into this wonderful little genre that hasn’t gotten much love lately.
