Good.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that a sexual assault case concerning actor Kevin Spacey is being officially looked at by the L.A. district attorney, and that “the case was presented to the district attorney’s office April 5 by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.”

Although several men have come forward to accuse Spacey of alleged sexual assault since Star Trek actor Anthony Rapp shared his account of what he says happened with Spacey when he was 14 years old, this is the first indication that Spacey’s actions could have potential legal ramifications.

Per THR:

The two-time Oscar winner and former star of Netflix’s House of Cards has been accused of sexual assault by a number of men in the U.S. and England. Authorities in both countries have opened criminal investigations into the accusations. According to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, its Special Victims Bureau has been investigating claims against Spacey since December 2017.

In the subsequent fallout, Spacey was fired from the Netflix drama and replaced in Ridley Scott’s big-screen crime thriller All the Money in the World.

Following Rapp’s accusations, Kevin Spacey responded in a fashion that many found offensive—choosing then to publically come out as a gay man after years of silence about his sexuality. Since then, he’s maintained radio silence, which isn’t likely to change anytime soon.

We may end up hearing more about Spacey from the authorities than from his spokespeople.

While it’s reassuring to hear that there may be ramifications for Spacey’s alleged actions, it would be great to see some movement on other fronts too *cough*Harvey Weinstein*cough*.
