Wonder Woman—Er, Adrianne Palicki—Joins the Cast of Agents of SHIELD

If only they'd had a lasso of truth for Grant Ward.

The CW’s Wonder Woman might’ve gotten canned before it even had a chance to premiere, but now star Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights) has gotten the chance to cross to the other side of the Force with a guest-starring role on Agents of SHIELD. But who is she playing?

That would be Bobbi Morse, aka Mockingbird, whom we previously heard would be “mentioned” in season two. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Palicki will appear in the fifth episode of the Marvel procedural with the potential to return; the episode will find her popping in perhaps not as an ally to Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his team.” She’ll joined previously announced guest stars Lucy Lawless and Kyle MacLachlan.

So now both Palicki and Whedon, who also famously tried to do a Wonder Woman movie back in the day, have taken on a Marvel project. Part of me expects Agents of SHIELD to really rub it in DC’s faces by hiring Lynda Carter to walk around in the background during some crowd scene.
