The Muppet Show’s “Pigs In Space” Adopt a Baby Xenomorph, and Yes, It Really Is Still 2016

Recommended Videos

You remember the Pigs in Space (“Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace”) segment on The Muppet Show, right? Well, apparently it’s back, at least in web short form. Now that I think of it, what isn’t back in web short form these days?

Fans of the original segment will find the same brand of humor here that absolutely defines the Muppets and their television shows–if you don’t count the Office-like series that showed up not too long ago. This episode of Pigs in Space borrows heavily from another quintessential sci-fi story: Alien. Listen, everybody and their mother has done some kind of riff on Alien, but this one? This one has muppets.

Moreover, it has Miss Piggy and Pepe the King Prawn playing the role of baby xenomorph. You haven’t lived until you’ve seen a prawn muppet playing a baby xenomorph pop out of a pig muppet’s belly covered in what’s supposed to be guts but instead looks like a lot of cole slaw.

Not a bad way to start your morning, huh?
