Even if you don’t celebrate Christmas, you’re probably familiar with the catchy tunes and the gross “Baby It’s Cold Outside” song that we’re still playing at department stores and pharmacies for some reason. Luckily, #FeministXmasSongs has come up with some great alternative lyrics to sing instead. Cartoonist Gemma Correll, creator of The Worrier’s Guide to Life, said she started the hashtag “on a whim” but “knew that the folks on Twitter would have some brilliant ideas, and I wanted to keep myself entertained on a unusually dark and rainy California evening.” Here are a few of my favorites:
