Amber Heard Files Restraining Order Against Johnny Depp, Allegedly Due to Domestic Abuse

Recommended Videos

Actress Amber Heard has obtained a domestic violence restraining order against her husband, Johnny Depp, alleging that she has suffered domestic abuse in the course of their marriage. Depp is currently ordered to stay 100 yards away from Heard at all times. The two wed in February of 2015, and since then, Heard has claimed to have suffered repeated instances of domestic violence. On May 21st, police responded to a domestic violence call in downtown Los Angeles involving the two of them. Depp wasn’t present, and investigators said that they did not see a bruise on Heard’s face when they turned up for the call.

Photos of Heard have made their way onto the internet, showing a bright red bruise around her right eye. According to the suit, Heard claims that Depp smashed his phone against her face then went on to shatter and break more objects around the house. As well, there is supposedly video (recorded by Heard) of Depp beating her.

The two are in the process of splitting up, as Heard filed for divorce just a handful of days ago.
