Patriot-izing Superheroes

Students at the Savannah School of Art and Design heard about Marvel’s looming conversion of the Black Panther into the American Panther, and decided that there were plenty of other superheroes (and one British wizard) who deserved a chance at becoming the figurehead for American superherodom.

Two things to observe here:

First, that when you take one superhero’s costume, and you mash it up with another, the results are usually ridiculous.

Second, “American” can be signified by things you might expect, like the Stars and Stripes, the Statue of Liberty, and eagles; but also by baseball and hamburgers.

Without further ado: American Goblin.

American Canary

American Black. Sirius American? Sirius Black riding a bald eagle Buckbeak.

American Surfer

And, naturally, American Skull.
