Stay Classy, Manhattan: New Anchorman 2 Trailer Hits the Streets [Video]
In all its '80s glory.
The News Team has re-assembled! The first full trailer for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is finally here. While the trailer makes it feel like a day hasn’t passed since 2004, it tells us that years have certainly passed since the events of the first film, and it is now the ’80s — as evidenced by Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” serving as the backing track.
From the looks of it, the plot is as such: The four newscasters — Ron Burgundy, Champ Kind, Brick Tamland, and Brian Fantana — have left San Diego and are headed to New York City to continue their career. They’ve been offered a job to anchor a 24-hour news station. Sounds rough.
So, as you can imagine, this is kind of a big deal for fans of the original film. And if you plan on seeing the Wold War Z movie, which comes out this Friday, you’ll get to see an exclusive version of the trailer. Anchorman 2 itself comes out on December 20th, so along with The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, that makes two films worth looking forward to this holiday season.
