Ariana Grande and John Legend’s Version of the Beauty and the Beast Theme Is Pretty Magical
So here’s another reason to check out the live-action Beauty and the Beast movie: John Legend and Ariana Grande collaborated to create a beautiful rendition of the popular theme.
Previously performed by Angela Lansbury in the movie and Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson on the official soundtrack, this latest version was produced by Grammy Award winner Ron Fair, Coming Soon reports. He’s worked on a number of hits including the Legally Blonde soundtrack, Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful,” Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles,” Fergie’s “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and Lady Gaga’s “Speechless.”
The new adaptation, based on the 1991 animated film, stars Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Kevin Kline as Belle’s eccentric father Maurice, Josh Gad as Lefou, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth and Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts. It’s directed by Academy Award winner Bill Condon and is slated for release on March 17.
