Aurora Australis as Seen from the International Space Station

Astronauts at the International Space Station were treated to a spectacular view of the Aurora Australis this past week. This photo, taken from onboard the ISS, captures the docked Space Shuttle Atlantis against a backdrop of the swiftly spinning Earth and the eerie green glow in the atmosphere. A beautiful view, to be sure.
