Can Bree Newsome and Black Panther team up?

After being arrested, the hashtag #FreeBree emerged to celebrate Newsome’s act of nonviolent resistance and call for her freedom. Michael Moore tweeted that he would pay her bail or legal fees and Jesse Williams also tweeted his support. Selma director Ava DuVernay, who we know has been in talks to direct Black Panther with Chadwick Boseman, referenced the rumors in a tweet praising Newsome.
Yes. I hope I get the call to direct the motion picture about a black superhero I admire. Her name is @BreeNewsome. pic.twitter.com/BgMeaNsbYk — Ava DuVernay (@AVAETC) June 27, 2015
She took down that nasty Confederate flag. They put her in jail. She showed us how to be brave. Superhero. #FreeBree pic.twitter.com/mbLCuMP6ws — Kenny Coble (@kennycoble) June 27, 2015

Newsome received tons of support and over 20 thousand dollars were raised for her bail. And now, the most appropriate vine to celebrate Newsome’s heroism.
