A New Trailer for Avengers: Endgame Had Me Crying First Thing in the Morning
The Russo brothers are the worst!!!!!!!!
Tony Stark isn’t trapped in space anymore, but everyone is still super sad, so that was a fun thing to wake up to first thing in the morning. Marvel decided to drop a surprise trailer for Avengers: Endgame, and it focuses on everyone coping with the aftermath of Infinity War, and that’s fun!
Essentially, what I’m gathering, is that the first twenty minutes of this movie are going to focus on the survivor’s guilt that plagues the Avengers and those around the world who remained after the snap. They’re all, understandably, depressed about those they’ve sad goodbye to, but what really drives the knife into our hearts is the flashbacks. The trailer includes looks throughout the entire MCU, and I don’t need to be reminded that this is the end for some of my favorite characters!
You can see the trailer here:
So, what could all of this mean? Eventually, when I do a scene-by-scene breakdown, I’ll cry over every single moment, but one thing really sticks out: Steve Rogers and Tony Stark are back on earth and working together, and their tactical gear makes it look like they may be using the Quantum Realm to defeat Thanos after all.
I don’t think that Marvel is going to be as obvious about how Endgame is going to go as many believe, but I do think, after this most recent trailer, that it does include the team time traveling with Scott Lang in the Quantum Realm. What exactly that will entail is still up in the air, and if that is the case, it could include Steve Rogers getting his “retirement” with Peggy Carter (even though she went on to live a full life without Steve in current continuity).
The trailer does include each of our favorites saying that they would do “whatever it takes” to honor those lost to Thanos, and it brings back the fear that those snapped will still remain dead when all is said and done. Please don’t do that; you just gave me Peter Parker and T’Challa and then you snapped them away, like Thanos himself!
Are we going to get any more information before the movie comes out? Probably not, because if you noticed, all of that footage was just what we’ve already seen, with very small additions. As the Russo brothers said, we’re only getting the first twenty minutes in previews. So who knows what the other 2 hours and 40 minutes of Avengers: Endgame could be.
Avengers: Endgame hits theaters April 26th, and … I don’t feel so good, Mr. Stark.
