That Battlestar Galactica Movie Just Got a Second Chance

Recommended Videos

Battlestar Galactica is getting another shot at the silver screen, after spending a few years left on a shelf somewhere. When the TV show reboot came to a close in the late aughts, X-Men‘s Bryan Singer got tapped to direct a movie about the franchise, but he’s been off the project since 2014. The Hollywood Reporter claims that the movie’s back in development now, with Michael De Luca and Scott Stuber and Dylan Clark of Bluegrass Films acting as co-producers.

This seems a bit unexpected, since it’s been almost a decade since the TV reboot of the franchise went off the air. After the failure of that show’s short-lived prequel spin-off series, Caprica, it’s hard to see where the story could turn. Perhaps the Battlestar franchise will end up with yet another reboot.

What parts of the story do you think remain untold?
