The BBC Is Doing A Sitcom About Early 20th Century Suffragettes [VIDEO]

Up the Women, premiering today on BBC Four, is written by and stars comedian/actress Jessica Hynes (Spaced). Whovians will recognize her as Joan Redfern, the nurse Ten/John Smith fell in love with in season three, as well as Joan’s great-granddaughter Verity.
