Get All Hecked Up on the Feels With “True Stories of BioWare Heartbreak”
There is no Shepard without Vakarian.
Listen, if you’ve ever played a BioWare game before, then you know exactly what it’s like to get all hecked up on the feels. Fans of Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and even Star Wars: The Old Republic will always cite these games and more as some of the most gripping stories they’ve ever gotten to play through, thanks in no small part to BioWare’s knack for stories. In this video released today by the very same folks over at BioWare, a few people open up about their “True Stories of BioWare Heartbreak,” confessing to some of their deepest, saddest moments in BioWare romance.
The video covers everything from the last conversation Liara had with Shepard before the final assault to one person’s decision to leave Hawke behind in the Fade. The video comes complete with a somber soundtrack and a muted black and white color scheme because, you know, emotions. Mark Meer, the voice of male Shepard was also present to share his own story about letting his bro, Garrus, win that one bottle-shooting competition. James, though? Nah. He beat him every time to remind him who the Commander was. Gonna be honest here: I did, too. But I still kinda smiled every time he called me Lola. It was totally our thing. Our friend thing. Cause really, there’s only one dude out there for this Shepard, and that’s, well…
What was one of my big BioWare heartbreaks (aside from “There is no Shepard without Vakarian”), you ask?
“Had to be me. Someone else might have gotten it wrong.”
