Galadriel Meets Thor: Cate Blanchett May Be Playing the “Baddie” in Thor: Ragnarok

Recommended Videos

Back in December, it was all but confirmed that Cate Blanchett would be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe through Thor: Ragnarok. Now, it seems like we may know what Marvel has in store for her. According to an Entertainment Tonight interview with Mark Ruffalo, Blanchett may be playing Thor: Ragnarok‘s villain. In his answer, he also pretty much stated that things were still in the “talking” phase, so anything could happen at this point.

Ruffalo specifically said:

I saw her at the Governors’ banquet here and heard that maybe she was circling, they were talking to her about the part, so I ran up to her and I was like, ‘Please, please, please make this work!’ She’s just one of the best, and to have her play a baddie is going to be really exciting.

He’s totally right, too. Having her play a baddie would be totally exciting. We’re all sitting here really hoping this will happen while simultaneously trying to keep thoughts of Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull out of our heads.

Yeah, just don’t do that, and we’ll be fine.

Tell us, which villain do you think Blanchett should play? Oh, and just because I felt like posting it:
