Boston Comic Con 2016: We Came, We Saw, We Took Video

Comic-Con's mega-talented attendees, from cosplayers to comic creators

Recommended Videos

The Mary Sue’s video team went to Boston Comic Con this past weekend, and as a result of their comprehensive efforts, we’ve got a lot of goodies to show to you this week. It’ll be just like you were there, too!

Our compilation video up at the top of this page should give you a taste of what you’ll see popping up on our YouTube channel in the forthcoming week: comic book writers and illustrators sharing their thoughts on their work and the state of the industry, as well as plenty of cosplayers showing off their creations.

This video features appearances from several phenomenal artists, including Nen Chang, Jason Shawn Alexander, Cliff Chiang (of Paper Girls fame) and Brian Stelfreeze (known most recently for illustrating Marvel Comics’ new Black Panther series). We peppered them with questions about the art form, as well as about how an illustration of a character can change how they’re seen–and also how illustrations and framing can say a lot about how the artist views the characters, for better or worse.

If you’re intrigued by the teaser quotes we’ve put together from those four visionaries, never fear! We’ll be uploading full-length versions of all of those interviews on our YouTube this week.
