Bruce Campbell Announces That He’s in Sam Raimi’s Oz!
If a tree falls in the wood and no one is there to Tweet about it, does it make a sound? Just a thought. Apparently, official casting news really does happen on Twitter, because that is where cult horror icon — and Sam Raimi confidante — Bruce Campbell announced that he will be in Raimi’s upcoming Oz, the Great and Powerful. And I just realized, I will follow Bruce Campbell anywhere, including to Oz.
This week, Campbell tweeted the following:
So, great! We don’t know what he’s doing, but at least we know he’s in it. And that — plus Raimi — is a reason to start paying attention to Oz developments. The movie already stars Rachel Weisz, Mila Kunis, and Michelle Williams as the three witches and James Franco as the “snake oil salesman” himself, Oz. Produced by Disney, it is set to come out some time next year and is being called a prequel to The Wizard of Oz (the one we know and love).
