Cakes Da Killa: No Homo Hopes to Heal the Rift Between the LGBTQ+ Community and Hip-Hop

Recommended Videos

Hip hop and the LGBTQ+ community have always had a contentious relationship. But 22-year-old hip hop artist, Cakes da Killa is looking to change all that, and filmmaker Ja’Tovia Gary’s short documentary, Cakes Da Killa: No Homo, seeks to shine a spotlight on this exciting performer. Check it out in the video above!

Check out how Gary describes the piece:

Cakes Da Killa: No Homo is an electrifying portrait of a young artist determined to live life on his own terms. Born Rashard Bradshaw, Cakes Da Killa is a 22-year-old hip hop artist. As an openly gay man he is not your run of the mill rapper, but he just might be your new favorite.

The documentary has been making the rounds at film festivals for the past two years, but is now available for viewing online for free for all to see! And lemme tell you, this dude can spit. Enjoy.
