Captain America Beats Up Batman, WB Changes Dawn of Justice Release Date
When Cap's coming through, you'd best move.
BREAKING NEWS: DC FLINCHES. BATMAN V SUPERMAN MOVES TO 3/25/16.

File this under “No shit, Sherlock”: For the last few months Warner Bros. and Marvel had a bit of an unofficial pissing contest going on, as both Captain America 3 and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice were set for the same release date: May 6, 2016. And now it looks like WB has lost this particular game of chicken, as we always knew somebody was going to, because you don’t split your market like that. No one actually expected Captain America 3 to move, right? Sorry, WB, I know you have the Holy Trinity, but the MCU’s a juggernaut. Have fun coming out in March. The summer movie season is going to start early that year.
Dawn of Justice‘s old release date has been taken by the Gerard Butler movie Geostorm (*crickets*). In addition, WB has called dibs on several other release dates for unspecified movies, though they might have to give one of ’em up if the MCU decides their feng shui demands Doctor Strange comes out on July 5th. Sorry, guys, but you know how it is. Those release dates, via The Wrap, are as follows:
Untitled DC Film – 08/05/16
Untitled DC Film – 06/23/17
Untitled DC Film – 11/17/17
Untitled DC Film – 03/23/18
Untitled DC Film – 07/27/18
Untitled WB Event Film – 11/16/18
Untitled DC Film – 04/05/19
Untitled DC Film – 06/14/19
Untitled DC Film – 04/03/20
Untitled DC Film – 06/19/20
Untitled WB Event Film – 11/20/20
