We’ve still got a bit of a wait for the Captain Marvel movie, but despite being pushed back a few months for Spidey-reasons, Marvel is making progress and has just officially announced some exciting writers for the project—especially for those of you who enjoyed Guardians of the Galaxy. So… everyone.

That’s right, Nicole Perlman, who developed the initial story and script for Guardians of the Galaxy—and also apparently wrote a Black Widow movie that we’d really like to see one day, please—will really be co-writing Captain Marvel along with Meg LaFauve, who co-wrote Pixar’s upcoming Inside Out.

According to previous reports, Marvel’s Kevin Feige decided to turn the two into a writing duo after being impressed with each of their individual takes on the movie. Marvel’s got this whole epic team-up thing on lock both in front of and behind the camera lately (the Russos, Winter Soldier writers hristopher Markus and Stephen McFeely), so it’s no surprise to see this trend continue, and we can’t wait to see the results on November 2, 1018.
