We’re already getting a Wild West AU and an all-female Avengers as part of Marvel’s Secret Wars event this May; but if that isn’t enough to get you to start a pull list at your local, you might be excited to learn about their all-new Carol Corps book for Captain Marvel fans!

The book will be made by Captain Marvel‘s current writer/artist team of Kelly Sue DeConnick and David Lopez, but will add upcoming Jem & the Holograms writer and all-around bad-ass Kelly Thompson as an additional writer. In Captain Marvel and the Carol Corps, Carol will be leading an all-lady fighter pilot team called the Banshee Squadron.

In an interview over on Fast Company (which is a weird place for this exclusive, but okay, Marvel), series editor and Marvel director of content and character development Sana Amanat said that the book is “meant to be a celebration of all the women, and […] all of the fans who flock towards Captain Marvel and Carol Danvers.”

And in Lopez’s sketches, you can see that they’re trying to be as inclusive as possible. “It’s not even just about skin color,” said Amanat. “It’s about everyone dressing differently, about being different heights, and having different hair.” But DeConnick was sure to include a black woman in the Banshee Squadron as well, saying that this new representation will allow her to correct for past moments where she had the opportunity to include diverse characters but chose not to. These folks are the best.

You can grab the first issue of Captain Marvel and the Carol Corps on June 10!
