Christopher Nolan Is In Talks to Direct a Movie About Space Exploration, Time Travel. And It’s Not Even My Birthday!
DO WANT
Looks like Christopher Nolan might have another movie to be secretive at us about. According to The Hollywood Reporter he’s in talks to produce and direct Interstellar, a sci-fi flick involving “time travel and alternate dimensions” in which “a group of explorers travel through a wormhole.”
The script was written by Christopher’s brother Jonathan Nolan, who co-wrote The Prestige, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises, in addition to penning the story on which Memento is based. Steven Spielberg‘s been attached as Interstellar‘s director for years, and it’s possible (if not likely) that he’ll still be involved in some way, especially considering his own sci-fi epic, Robopocalypse, was just postponed indefinitely.
Writes THR, Interstellar “is based on scientific theories developed by Kip Thorne, a theoretical physicist, gravitational physicist and astrophysicist at Caltech.”
No word yet on who Michael Caine will play or whether Cillian Murphy‘s character will have a burlap sack over his head at any point. My prediction is yes. Nolan’s filmography is on my side.
