After a two-year hiatus, Classroom of The Elite season 3 will be released in January 2024. The anime was supposed to be released earlier, in 2023, following the show’s previous release schedule, but various complications delayed the release of the anime’s third season.

Now, new episodes will air once a week in Japan and the following regions on Crunchyroll: North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and the Commonwealth of Independent States. This season will be chief-directed by Hiroyuki Hashimoto and Seiji Kishi and directed by Yoshihito Nishoji for Studio Lerche, where the anime’s prior seasons were produced.

Is there a release date for Classroom of the Elite season 3?

Unfortunately, a specific release date has yet to be provided for Classroom of the Elite season 3, although it was confirmed that it will debut in January 2024. You can, however, watch the teaser trailer here.

Classroom of the Elite‘s plot

Classroom of the Elite tackles the concept of meritocracy by examining school grading systems. The anime follows the story of Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, who recently got accepted into the prestigious Tokyo Metropolitan Nurturing High School. Although he’s not exactly sociable, Kiyotaka is highly intelligent, handsome, and athletic, which is why he got accepted.

In the school, sections range from A to D—A being the best section to be in, and D being the worst. Kiyotaka was placed in Class 1-D, and as early as the first episode, he realizes that the school largely reflects real life. Kiyotaka isn’t like his peers in 1-D and is diligent in spending his points on the first day, which is the currency they use inside the school. Life at Tokyo Metropolitan Nurturing High School isn’t comparable to your average high school, as students will have to survive strange exams in odd locations. Most importantly of all, they have to come out on top in the school’s ranking.

Classroom of the Elite‘s Japanese voice cast

The English cast for the dub is yet to be announced, but it appears that the Japanese cast hasn’t changed this coming season.
