For Your Convention Season: Con*Quest Journal
[slideshow id=2793]
The creators of Con*Quest Journal sent us one to try out, and while I haven’t been to a convention with it yet, I can highly recommend it for the avid con-goer.
So what is Con*Quest Journal? It’s a really neat project that was successfully Kickstarted last year and involves a place for all your collectible stuff (minus toys, natch) when you’re at cons! As you’ll see in our gallery, a journal comes with 30 pages for notes, autographs, vendor information, and more. It also has a place for business cards, a zipper pouch, and sleeves for art or comics. We were also sent a set of really cool “Con*Pliment Cards” which are awesome for sharing contact info with cosplayers or other fine folks if you’re not sure how best to approach them.
Con*Quest Journal also recently announced a partnership with Gen Con.
“We received incredible support from the Gen Con community and attendees last year during our launch.” said Shelley Harper, Con*Quest Journals partner and Indiana native. “We knew that we wanted to design a special journal for this show and are so thrilled to be working with Gen Con to create licensed merchandise that will enhance each attendee’s experience.”
They’re continuing to work with other conventions to bring fans exclusive variant art covers for the journals featuring local artists (you can see some of those on their Facebook page). If you want to check and see which conventions the team will be stopping at, they’ve got a list right here and of course you can also visit their site to find out how to get your own.
