Carly Rae Jepsen’s Simlish Version of “Run Away With Me” Is Peak Pop Culture
Carly Rae Jepsen has come a long way since her “Call Me Maybe” days. From “pop sensation to hipsters’ darling” (thanks, New Statesman) to covering songs in Simlish. Yeah. You read that right. For the newest Sims 4 expansion, “Get Together,” Jepsen re-recorded her hit song “Run Away With Me” in Simlish. For all intents and purposes, it sounds just like the original song except, you know, for the strange words that make up Simlish.
You’ll remember Katy Perry did the same thing with her song, “Last Friday Night.” You can check that out below. While you do, tell us: what song do you think would translate well into Simlish? What song absolutely wouldn’t?
