Daisy Ridley Fends off More Questions From Celebrity Last Jedi Spoiler Panel, Featuring a Surprise Guest

Recommended Videos

It was a largely unassuming Monday, since it was Presidents’ Day, and nothing interesting was happening despite most of us still being forced to go to work. Then, Josh Gad put a celebrity panel in front of Daisy Ridley to grill her even more about Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and everything suddenly seemed a whole lot more worthwhile.

Ridley and Gad are working together on Murder on the Orient Express, and he’s made it his mission to get to the bottom of The Last Jedi for us (or just for himself), even going so far as to bring in Judi Dench for reinforcements. Even that didn’t crack the star’s iron resistance to the low-rent Jedi mind trick, so Gad assembled a full panel including Penélope Cruz, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Chris Pratt, but none of them hold a candle to the most amusing guest appearance yet.

Did you watch? It’s best as a surprise.

I’m referring, of course, to J.J. Abrams desperately asking Ridley for spoilers, since he’s no longer as much in the loop as she is after moving on from directing duties. In reality, he probably knows plenty about what’s going on behind-the-scenes and where the story goes after The Force Awakens, but seeing him cast as a fan just like the rest of us is easily the funniest bit in the video.

Meanwhile, Ridley is still a steel spoiler trap, and it’s hard to tell whether she’s genuinely annoyed at Gad or not—masterful acting skills she’s going to need to make it through the rest of this year, because these questions are only going to get more intense as The Last Jedi‘s December release approaches.
