Dan Harmon Teases Us With Talk Of A Dungeons And Dragons Movie
Oh, and he knows what to do about Ghostbusters 3 too.
I get it, SXSW: you’re too cool for school, AKA me. But must you pour salt in my blogger wounds by teasing the world with pitches for glorious movie ideas that will likely never come to be?
This weekend in an interview for “What’s Trending?” in Austin, Harmon was coaxed into revealing his pitch for a Dungeons and Dragons movie starring Will Ferrel, Patton Oswalt, and Seth Rogen. Sadly Harmon seems to just be speaking off the cuff for the interview, but his concept is likely the only way a D&D movie might be able to avoid the ridicule received by the 2000 film (a very serious still from which is pictured above).
So basically it’s going to be Superbad but with dungeon masters? By the Gods of SXSW, please let someone with wealth and influence make this a reality.
