Star Wars Newb Daniel Radcliffe Hung Out On The Episode VII Set; Bonded With Harrison Ford
"I know."
Prepare the honorary Corellian Bloodstripes!
Daniel Radcliffe recently visited the Pinewood Studios set of Episode VII, and although the actor wasn’t there to fulfill my dream casting (Radcliffe as a tauntaun, Radcliffe as a tauntaun), his experience still sounds pretty heartwarming. In an interview with ITV, the Horns star admitted that meeting the cast of the original trilogy left him star struck:
I was so excited, ’cause I literally just watched the original Star Wars movies very recently, so I was like a new fan going on set. But I got to meet Harrison Ford and have a chat, and he was lovely. It was great.
[…] Most people would be excited about seeing the Star Wars set but I went out because all my friends were working there ’cause it’s the Potter crew, they’ve basically just moved onto that, so I was going to see all of them.
Not only has the Pinewood Studios crew had the opportunity to work on two of the most successful film franchises ever, they’ve now also introduced the young Potterwadan to Star Wars royalty. What did Ford and Radcliffe talk about? Vests? Han’s obvious Gryffindor tendencies? The pair’s mutually understood but barely-declared love?
Ok, J.J. Abrams. Put Han in a Weasley sweater just once, and I might drop my Alice Eve Star Trek grudge. For Harry’s sake, you understand.
