David Tennant & Catherine Tate Are Coming Back to Doctor Who! … In Audio Dramas

No 3D glasses needed, then?

David Tennant is going to play the Doctor again, and he’s bringing Donna with him. This is not a drill. ALLONS-Y!

Sadly, we won’t get to stare into Tennant’s dreamy, sometimes-bespectacled eyes on the TV screen this time around, but we will get to hang on his every word as he voices his character once more in three episodes of Doctor Who Dramas. We’ll also get more Donna Noble as Catherine Tate reprises her role as his (best) companion!

Sadly, with Tennant in the tenth Doctor role, we’re talking pre-mindwipe Donna here and not something to finally undo that injustice, but we’ll take what we can get. The scripts are reportedly finished and awaiting Tennant and Tate’s schedules to free them up for recording, with the episodes due out in May of 2016.

The first, Doctor Who – The Tenth Doctor Adventures: Technophobia puts the pair in a slightly futuristic London. The second, Time Reaver, has them visit the mechanical alien planet of Calibris, and the third, Death and the Queen, “follows a fairytale romance in the beautiful land of Goritania,” according to Deadline. Get excited!
