John Barrowman, Catherine Tate, and David Tennant’s Tribute to the Creators of Doctor Who

It Goes Ding When There's Stuff

Recommended Videos

I was planning on making the first post today something Halloween related, but I’d wager a few of you would be more interested in these two videos first. I couldn’t be on the internet this weekend much, for one reason or another, but I did happen to notice that there seemed to be a small Tumblr explosion of new Doctor Who related .gifs featuring actors who haven’t been on the show in a while like David Tennant, John Barrowman, and Catherine Tate. And now I know why.

This weekend, some blessed (or tricksy) person uploaded a musical tribute video filmed by the three aforementioned actors for series creators/rebooters Russell T. Davies and Julie Gardner, as all of them were leaving the show at the end of the fourth season as the show got something of a whole cast revamp. According to John Barrowman himself, the reason why the video hasn’t surfaced until now is that it was filmed as a private treat for Davies and Gardner, and that “someone has put it out without asking.” It’s safe to say that the internet is enjoying it while it lasts.

As if that weren’t enough, an all cast (no really, all) wrap video has surfaced set to The Proclaimers’ I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles). If you have ever wanted to see an Ood get down, this is your chance.

Regular Halloween programming will continue after this, I promise. But wasn’t it worth it?
