Announced at their DC DIGITAL: DOWNLOAD THIS! panel at New York Comic Con today, DC is putting out their first Vertigo digital first title. And it just so happens to be a comic book spinoff of Telltale’s video game, based on the Vertigo comic Fables! Got all that? Here’s the official info:

The first-ever Digital First Vertigo title will be FABLES: THE WOLF AMONG US, based on the critically-acclaimed episodic game series from Telltale Games licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The story will be written by Matthew Sturges and Dave Justus with art by Steve Sadowski, Travis Moore, and Shawn McManus. The cover artist for the series is Chrissie Zullo. FABLES: THE WOLF AMONG US will be a weekly Digital First series and is set to debut in December 2014 with print collections to follow in 2015.

Cool to see frequent Fables universe writer Sturges (Jack of Fables) working on this, especially considering Fables prime is coming to a close. I am behind in my The Wolf Among Us progress but I enjoyed what I’ve played so far. Will you be picking this one up?
