[VIDEO] Exclusive: Anais Fairweather Talks Voicing Supergirl and Empowering Women on DC Super Hero Girls

We at The Mary Sue are big fans of DC Super Hero Girls, and of Anais Fairweather, the voice actor who plays highschool-aged Supergirl on the Cartoon Network show. In this exclusive clip, DC All Access’ Tiffany Smith talks to Fairweather about what it means to her to provide a positive, strong role model for young girls. Here’s Anais on why she feels so blessed to have the Supergirl role:

“I think it’s such a great show, I really feel so blessed to be part of something that’s a positive change for women and positive role models for young girls. I feel so lucky that I get to be a part of it in any aspect, and the fact that I get to be the voice of Supergirl is like out of this world for me, because it’s always been a goal for me to empower women, support women in their dreams. Especially in this age and at this level, they have these role models to look up to, and to feel powerful within themselves. So I feel really, really blessed, yeah.”
