As one of the creators of Batman: The Animated Series and Justice LeaguePaul Dini is a name I trust with superheroic women, both in adaptation and in original characters like Harley Quinn. And Joe Quinones is an artist whose work is also very familiar to comic readers who like their women like they like their medical textbooks: anatomically correct (to be more specific, these days, you can enjoy his work in a lot of Marvel books and the covers of Captain Marvel). Which is why it’s very cool to hear that the two of them will be collaborating on a story-contained graphic novel featuring Black Canary and Zatanna teaming up, due to hit shelves next May. Check Comics Alliance for a few more preview panels and a possible synopsis.

Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
