This Featurette Shines a Light On Disney’s Animation Process

Ever wonder how much work goes into your favorite Disney animations? This 10-minute featurette explains some of the work that goes into rendering just one frame! Listening to a charismatic narrator explain how light interacts with objects and textures and path-tracing in Hyperion really illuminates how much thought goes into their computer animations.

As someone who’s not familiar with the program, this featurette really gave me a whole new appreciation for the artists at Disney! Can you imagine all the light rays in Tangled‘s lantern scene?
