‘My Spock’ Combines Star Trek and Hamilton
So those Hamilton/Star Wars mashups like Mark Hamil-ton or Finn and Poe embracing to Helpless are probably some of my favorite internet videos, but Jackson Lanzing took it a whole step further by writing new lyrics and performing a Star Trek parody of “My Shot” titled “My Spock.” Lanzing recasts Hamilton as Sarek, Lafayette as Spock, Hercules Mulligan as Kirk, Laurens as Bones, and Chekov as Burr and takes a few jabs at the 2009 reboot.
You can read the full lyrics here, because what, you’re going to watch this and not learn every word? Do not throw away your Spock.
