DOS and Arcade Games Are Playable in Tweets Now. What Sorcery Is This?

The Internet Archive recently made headlines when they made all of our childhood favorite DOS games playable for free in web browsers everywhere, but now they’ve gone a step further and allowed those games to be embedded—fully playable—in tweets. You know, because we weren’t already spending enough time on Twitter.

All you have to do is head to the Internet Archive’s DOS software library, paste the URL of one of the games into a Tweet, and the rest is automatic. It also works with their Internet Arcade section of old arcade games.

And you know what that means: we can embed games right into posts anywhere on the Internet. Like this post, for example. Don’t worry; I’ve only included a few so that you’ll eventually be able to tear yourself away to go tweet some classic games at your friends. Eventually.
